Colibris

Colibris started its journey on the western coast of the United States of America in Portland, Oregon.

Our main desire and business principle was to offer and maintain the highest possible quality of our services. Many have tried to follow our lead but only a few succeeded to rise up to the standards we imposed. Three essential elements make the difference between us and our competition – our low prices, the rarity of our products and the constant communication with our valued customers.

The next step in our journey was Great Britain. The postal service in London was suddenly overwhelmed with packages heading towards all the corners of the island. Hundreds of people quickly followed by thousands more were pleased to make our acquaintance, to order our books and enjoy them. Opening a package you have longed for and finding within it the book you have always wanted to read brings you true happiness.

Pleased with the way things were working out, Colibris took flight over the English Channel towards Paris. C’est Magnifique! Shouted the inhabitants of the City of Lights. Very soon, airplanes filled to the breaking point with books were leaving London and were heading towards the French so that for the first time in history, birds which were not of a feather did flock together.

Despite its history and reputation, Germany was an easy prey. Attracted by the vision of the tiny bird with incredible power, the German people were soon conquered as they embarked on a journey throughout the world of books they had never dreamed of before.

Step by step, Colibris was getting closer to home. However, it remembered Canada, whose population was growing impatient. The rumors in the USA had been growing over the years. Thus, Colibris had to turn away, and, as it left the continent, it promised to return one day.

From the other side of the Pacific came a rumor which caused a further delay. People talked of a mysterious land where men and women spoke a strange language and had slanted eyes. People also talked about how challenging it was to deal with them and given that Colibris liked the idea, it crossed the great stretch of water and landed in Japan. Things went smoothly once again. Everyone, from the old Samurai to the young otaku, found something they wanted. Because all was well, Colibris knew the time had finally come to return home.
